ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Frederick County physician who was accused of molesting female patients is asking the state’s highest court to hear his case for reinstatement of his license.
Dr. Michael Rudman of Middletown asked the state’s highest court, the Court of Appeals, on Wednesday to consider hearing an appeal in his case.
Rudman is seeking reinstatement of a medical license the state Board of Physicians revoked after he was convicted in 2006 of second-degree assault of a female patient. The conviction was expunged as part of his plea deal after Rudman completed three years of supervised probation.
A Frederick County Circuit Court judge ordered the license reinstated in March but the state appealed. The Court of Special Appeals reversed the reinstatement April 2.
