WASHINGTON — A man in his 60s died in a house fire in Germantown, Maryland Thursday morning.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue and police responded to Jamieson Place and Germantown Road around 7:30 a.m. and found the a two-story home on fire.
The man who died was found dead on the second floor.
Firefighters helped an elderly woman and her dog out of the house. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no word on what caused the fire.
