Aquia’s Table

Aquia’s Table is a hot meals community service, serving free meals every Wednesday evening in a restaurant-like setting to those in need in the Stafford, VA community. Although we are affiliated with Aquia Episcopal Church, we are a self-funded community service that relies solely on fundraising through our annual charity golf tournament (this year’s tournament is on May 5th) and individual donations throughout the year. Proceeds from our annual charity golf tournament contribute to approximately 75% of our annual financial needs. No funds for Aquia’s Table come from the general fund of Aquia Episcopal Church, although we do benefit from our association with the church by being able to take advantage of their 501(c)(3) status and use of the parish hall to provide this hot meals service. Our all- volunteer staff (cooks, servers, bussers, hosts, and dishwashers) comes from both the church and the Stafford community. Since Aquia’s Table founding 5 years ago, in April 2009, we have served over 9,000 meals to anyone in need of a hot meal. We also benefit from the kind donation of baked goods provided by Panera Bread of North Stafford on a weekly basis. We make these baked goods available to all of our guests to take home to enjoy for the remainder of the week.
