WASHINGTON – A woman was killed and another person was critically injured in a head-on crash in Howard County early Saturday morning.
The Howard County police say that she was driving west in the eastbound lanes of Route 32 just east of Dorsey Run Road when she crashed into a tow truck heading east at about 4:15 a.m.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the front seat of her car was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma and is in critical condition. Police aren’t releasing the driver’s name until her next of kin can be notified.
The tow-truck driver was also taken to Shock Trauma; the police say he is in stable condition. The eastbound lanes of Route 32 were closed for about three hours while police investigated the crash. The investigation continues.
