WASHINGTON – A taxi struck a man attempting to cross Jefferson Davis Highway in Crystal City early Friday.
The pedestrian, a 38 year-old Arlington man, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to George Washington Hospital after the accident at 2:39 a.m..
The investigation into the accident shut down the five-lane highway for 3 1/2 hours/
Arlington police say the driver remained on the scene.
Police say the driver will not be charged.
