WASHINGTON – The dog may still eat the homework, but there’s no losing this note from teacher.
More and more area schools are relying on mobile apps to communicate with busy parents.
The schools are responding to a growing number of adults with smart phones.
The Washington Post reports that Arlington and Fairfax counties are the latest to unveil mobile apps.
Alexandria City Public Schools and Loudon County Public Schools also have mobile friendly web sites.
In Maryland, Prince George’s County is developing its second version while Montgomery County has chosen to redesign its website instead of building an app.
The apps can include grades, attendance records, school lunch menus and email links to teachers and the principal.
