WASHINGTON – Whether you like yours with syrup, butter, whipped cream or strawberries on top, get ready to gobble down some pancakes on National Pancake Day.
Thursday marks National Pancake Day.

Perkins is offering free pancakes Thursday to celebrate National Pancake Day and help a good cause, too. A short stack of pancakes is free at participating Perkins restaurants. The chain is hoping the treat encourages people to donate to Give Kids The World, a resort that helps grant wishes of kids with life-threatening illnesses.
National Pancake Day is recognized in February as well. During the February celebration, IHOP gives away free pancakes.
