WASHINGTON – An upcoming tour by ’90s grunge stalwarts Pearl Jam so far skips the District in favor of Maryland and Virginia, but those that make the trek are assured of hearing new music from the band.
The group on Thursday announced it will release its 10th studio album, “Lightning Bolt,” on Oct. 15 in the United States. The effort again unites Pearl Jam with producer Brendan O’Brien and is the band’s first album since 2009’s “Backspacer.”
Pearl Jam also released the first single — “Mind Your Manners” — from the new album on Thursday. You can give it a listen below:
Pearl Jam will play Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena on Oct. 27 and John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville on Oct. 29. See all the dates on the two-leg tour here.
