WASHINGTON – Firefighters aren’t ones to duck responsibility, even when it comes to furry or feathered friends.
InsideNova reports Virginia fire and rescue workers from Marine Corps Base Quantico and Stafford County helped a family of ducks safely exit Interstate 95 Friday night.
The group had finished cleaning up an accident on the highway when the ducks were spotted. The birds reportedly couldn’t get off the roadway because of Jersey walls, so the crews kept traffic out of two lanes and guided the ducks about a mile until they could exit.
