WASHINGTON – The Washington Nationals are honoring the man behind the team, manager Davey Johnson, with a new bobblehead.
The first 15,000 fans at Nats Park will be greeted with the nodding head of the Davey Johnson figurine on July 20 when the Nationals take on the Dodgers.
It’s the last in the Nats 2013 bobblehead series, reports The Washington Post.
Before managing the Nats and the Mets, Johnson played for the Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs. He started managing the Nationals in June 2011 but has been in the team’s front office since 2006.
