Classic rocker Sammy Hagar will play Nationals Park this summer as part of the NatsLive free post-game concert series.
Hagar will take the stage at the park Aug. 29 about 15 minutes after the last out of the Nats’ game against the Miami Marlins.
Hagar, who is known as the “red rocker,” is the former lead singer of Van Halen and is currently preparing for the release of “Sammy Hagar and Friends”a solo and collaborations album.
The Nationals will also bring Christian rock group Third Day to the concert series on July 7. The concerts are part of increased promotions that the Nationals will provide for the rest of the season.
Hagar and Third Day join Blues Traveler — who played June 6 — Gavin Degraw, Thompson Square and Montgomery Gentry on the NatsLive lineup.
Fans must have a ticket to the game to see the concerts.
