WASHINGTON – Extreme weather in the area had D.C. firefighters very busy Monday night.
High water trapped four people in cars but they were rescued near the East Capitol Street bridge around 9:30 p.m.
The D.C. Firefighters Associations Local 26 also Tweeted that they rescued another person from high water in the area of Broad Branch Road and Beach Drive NW before 9 p.m.
