WASHINGTON – Several lucky Gemini babies will be awarded $529 toward their college savings accounts, depending on how close they are born to 5:29 p.m. on May 29.
Virginia529 is celebrating May 29 as 529 College Savings Day by partnering with several hospitals across the state to award the savings accounts.
Virginia529 is the Virginia College Savings Plan that is designed to help families pay for college through a prepaid tuition program.
Locally, the group has teamed up with Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax and Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
