WASHINGTON – A student at Ballou High School in Southeast D.C. maced a peer on Friday afternoon in an incident school officials believe was a result of a previous neighborhood dispute, WJLA-TV reports.
Extra security was assigned to Ballou after the incident. Officials with the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department say a group of at least 10 students got into a fight at the 4th Street Southeast campus, during which one student pulled out a can of mace and began spraying.
D.C. Fire officials told WJLA that four people were treated for respiratory distress, while other students simply went home early.
No arrests have been made.
