WASHINGTON – Calling all Jedis: It’s time to dust off the old light saber.
May 4, is Star Wars Day. You’ll probably hear a lot of fellow Jedis saying, “May the Fourth be with you,” for its similarities with the famous quote, “May the force be with you.”
The Star Wars website even has a special May the 4th blog with some suggestions on how to celebrate.
“It’s a little like Valentine’s Day. You might love someone all year long, just like you celebrate Star Wars all year long, but this is a special day devoted to your passion,” the posts reads.
Some of the suggestions are to make an R2-D2 cake, dress up (of course) or even do some good deeds in order “to embrace Jedi-like values.”
Special events are being planned at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
In D.C., there’s even a May the Fourth Be With You flash mob planned.
