WASHINGTON – The D.C. area is host to numerous free concerts during the summer months.
Some of the events have already begun.
Here’s a list of this weekend’s top free concert events:
Friday
- In the District, Yards Park is hosting Brit-pop rockers, Shag at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic.
- Scheduled from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., National Harbor’s Friday Night Live! series will feature Sam Grow.
- The Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg presents its summer concert series with popular cover songs from Clay Hunt.
- Fans of swing music should check out King Teddy at Rockville Town Square from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
Saturday
- The Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg continues its summer concert series with cover songs from Diamond Alley.
- Scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Catholic University of America, the Philippine Madrigal Singers will hold a free concert.
Sunday
- Scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the National Gallery of Art, the Vlach Quartet Prague plays a free concert at the West Building.
