SILVER SPRING, Md. – A 16-year-old student at Montgomery Blair High School was shot with a Taser Thursday after becoming aggressive with a resource officer.
Montgomery County police say a ninth-grade girl left the school building late in the morning. She refused to return to class and then became violent with the officer.
The student assaulted the officer in the courtyard, and that officer used a Taser to restrain her, says Captain Paul Starks.
The student was taken to the hospital for an evaluation, according to a release from the high school. She was accompanied by an administrator.
