WASHINGTON – The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in solving the death of Katherine Bryant.
Bryant was last seen in the D.C. area in the summer of 2006, and her skeletal remains were found on August 16 of last year in a wooded area near the northbound 140 ramp exit of I-95.
According to the sheriff’s office, the death of Bryant, who was 33 years old at the time, is being investigated as a homicide.
Bryant was a known associate of Murder Incorporated, a drug organization in the Washington area. According to the sheriff’s office, Murder Inc. was responsible for numerous murders as well as the sale of heroin, cocaine and marijuana.
“This young lady is a daughter and a sister and her family deserves to know who is responsible for her death,” says Sheriff Charles Jett in a press release. “The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is committed to finding the person or persons responsible for this terrible crime.”
