WASHINGTON – Valentine’s Day means many things, including love – and, sometimes, handcuffs.
The National Museum of Crime & Punishment is holding its very popular annual experience “Crimes of Passion.” Couples enter the museum and are greeted by on-staff wardens, who bind them together with handcuffs. Then the couples tour the three floors of the museum together.
In addition to more than 600 regularly featured exhibits, there are also special exhibit boards placed throughout the museum explaining various crimes of passion, many of which took place in the D.C. area.
AFTER HOURS Crimes of Passion: Friday, Feb. 15, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 16, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $45 per couple and includes admission and souvenir handcuffs. National Museum of Crime and Punishment, 575 7th Street NW (between E and F Streets). Near the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro station’s Verizon Center exit.
