Wednesday – 1/23/2013, 2:01pm ET – WASHINGTON – Students at Occoquan Elementary School in Prince William County were evacuated after a fire broke out on the school’s roof Wednesday afternoon.

No word yet on how extensive the fire was. Officials says construction on the roof, part of an expansion project, was the cause.

A spokesman for the school district says everyone is safe. The children were taken to classroom trailers, which are separate from the main building in Woodbridge.
