WASHINGTON – About 2,000 people in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties are without power Monday morning.
A pole fire in the Shady Grove-Rockville area at about 9 a.m. left about 900 Pepco customers in the dark. Crews were responding and hope to have the power back on by noon.
Pepco also had about 1,400 customers in Upper Marlboro without power. Crews reportedly were on their way.
