WASHINGTON – Coming up on the big rivalry game, the Redskins’ Tanya Snyder is preparing to pamper fans of the burgundy and gold.
Snyder, wife of the team owner Dan Snyder, is hosting a Redskins Style Lounge on Sunday at FedEx Field. Every fan is invited to the team boutique starting at 11 a.m. at the Verizon gate of the stadium.
Fans can meet actress and philanthropist Holly Robinson Peete who will join Mrs. Snyder and team stylists for the opportunity to buy Redskins clothing and accessories.
“The Redskins Style Lounge showcases merchandise created specifically for our passionate female fans. The apparel strives to ensure that women can represent their team and feel included on game day, as well as empowered in the Redskins community,” Snyder says in a news release.
Fans can get burgundy and gold manicures while they listen to the DJ in the lounge.
There is growing excitement among female Redskins fans who are quickly growing to represent half of the team’s fan base, Synder says. She attributes it in part to the arrival of quarterback Robert Griffin III.
“We’re 80 years [old], the fan base and the loyalty to the Washington Redskins is remarkable,” Synder said on WTOP.
The Redskins lounge is one stop in a series traveling to nine NFL cities for female fans.
