WASHINGTON – What did Internet users search for the most this year?
Elections, according to Yahoo!’s survey of its top searches in 2012.
Yahoo! officials say news rarely leads the list. The BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and Michael Jackson’s death were the only two news-related searches that topped the list in the past 12 years.
Here’s what else people searched for in 2012:
2nd place: iPhone 5
3rd place: Kim Kardashian
4th place: Kate Upton
5th place: Kate Middleton
6th place: Whitney Houston
7th place: Olympics
8th place: Political Polls
9th place: Lindsay Lohan
10th place: Jennifer Lopez
