WASHINGTON – A Baltimore bus driver videotaped punching and wrestling with a teenage passenger has been suspended.
A video posted on YouTube begins after the first punch was thrown. It shows a female driver tussling with a female passenger.
The person who posted the video online says the fight began because the passenger’s music was too loud.
Toward the end of the video, the bus driver disgrees, saying “It wasn’t about that. It was about being disrespectful.”
A spokesperson with the Maryland Transit Administration says the driver, who had been behind the wheel approximately eight years, has been suspended during the investigation.
Transit police have interviewed the driver and the student, and other passengers. Neither has been identified.
