WASHINGTON – Adrienne Duperre won’t remember President Barack Obama winning re-election, but her parents sure will.
Before the polls in Columbia, Md., opened Tuesday, Adrienne elected to be born – just not in the typical place. Her family called 911 at 3 a.m., and Howard County officials say firefighters and paramedics arrived at their home in time to cut the umbilical cord and take Adrienne and her mother, Brittany Duperre, to the hospital.
Officials with the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services say both mother and baby were doing well at last report.
Adrienne, who was born weighing just over 7 pounds, is the second child of Brittany and Joseph Duperre.
