WASHINGTON – Dale and Thomas popcorn is recalling 14 varieties of it’s popcorn over a possible Listeria contamination.
The popcorn, made by Popcorn Indiana, is sold in the company’s signature red bags.
The varieties include Kettle Corn, Aged White Cheddar, Bacon Ranch, Caramel, Almond Biscotti, American Cheese, Apple Crisp, Black & White Drizzle, Roasted Peanuts, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Sugar Drizzle, Dark Fudge Chocolate Chip Drizzle, Kettle Corn Multipack (8 pack), Salt & Pepper and Wasabi Reserve.
The affected popcorn was made on or after August 8, 2012 and have varying best buy dates between February 4, 2013 and March 12, 2013. For information by the product’s UPC code, visit the company’s list of recalls.
All the other types of popcorn the company makes are safe to eat. Symptoms of Listeria include high fever, severe headache, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
