WASHINGTON – A special delivery for the Silver Line slowed down commuters through Tysons Corner into Friday afternoon.
Two oversized trucks delivered massive pieces of what will eventually be the pedestrian bridge for the Greensboro station on the Silver Line.
The delivery was expected between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Friday. However, the delivery did not occur until after 2 p.m.
The trucks will have an escort as they roll on Route 123 south, International Drive, Spring Hill Road and Route 7. Dulles Rail officials warn traffic delays are possible.
There will be four Silver Line stations in Tysons Corner. The first phase of the line will open late next year.
