Request filed for ingredients in White House brew

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama does not mince words when it comes to beer.

He is so proud of the brew from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue that he is carrying it on the campaign bus and occasionally hands it out, according to Huffington Post.

And now, an interested citizen has filed a request to find out the ingredients of the White House beer.

A Reddit user submitted a Freedom of Information Act request for the White House Honey Ale recipe, or any other brews from the White House, including the Honey Porter or the Honey Blonde Ale. All three get their honey from the first lady’s garden.

It’s the first formal request for the recipe, according to the Fedblog. The petition was filed on the White House website. It needs 25,000 signatures by Sept. 17 before it goes to review.
