WASHINGTON – A 19-year-old man is charged with sexually assaulting three people in Suitland early Thursday morning.
Curtis Lee Sargent Jr. is charged with rape and first-degree assault.
Prince George’s County police say Sargent’s first victim approached him on Suitland Road in Maryland, asking for directions to the Suitland Metro Station at 3 a.m. on July 5. Sargent showed the man a handgun and forced him to a nearby park, where police say Sergent sexually assaulted the man.
About 40 minutes later, investigators say Sargent approached two women who were walking home, 500 yards away from the park where the first assault happened.
Sargent again showed his handgun and sexually assaulted one of the women, according to police.
The first woman managed to escape and ran to call police. While she was getting help, investigators say Sargent forced the other woman into a yard and sexually assaulted her as well.
Working off a description from the second victim, police then searched the area and found Sargent carrying a handgun at John Street and Suitland Road.
