WASHINGTON – A number of scheduled closures are sure to slow down some commuters this week.
I-95 HOV closure
Scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close the northbound I-95 HOV lanes between Dumfries Road and Franconia Road.
Tuesday through Thursday, the closure is scheduled between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m., then Friday between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m.
The northbound HOV lanes will be open from the Springfield Interchange to the Washington, D.C. line while this work takes place.
Baltimore-Washington Parkway construction
There are several work zones scheduled for the Baltimore Washington Parkway this week:
Tuesday:
- From 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. – Northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway between DC-295 and MD-450, just the left lane will get by the construction zone.
- The ramp from southbound Baltimore Washington Parkway and MD-201 to New York Avenue will be closed.
- Wednesday and Thursday:
- From 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. – Southbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway between MD-450 and the ramp to Kenilworth Avenue, paving will block the left lane.
- The ramps to New York Avenue and Kenilworth Avenue will be closed.
