WASHINGTON – The National Weather Service has canceled flash flood warnings and watches for Northern Virginia but has issued a flood warning until 10 a.m.
The weather service issued a flood warning for small streams in the following areas:
- City of Manassas
- City of Manassas Park
- Prince William County
A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
Roadways are seeing runoff from streams after heavy rains.
The weather service says the following streams could flood:
- Bull Run
- Broad Run
- Rocky Branch
- Cedar Run
- Goslin Run
- Neabsco Creek
- Beaverdam Run
- Chopawamsic Creek
- Quantico Creek
- Powells Creek
- Lucky Run
- Lick Branch
- Dawkins Branch
- Cannon Branch
- South Run
- Kettle Run
- Cabin Run
- Youngs Branch
- Holkums Branch
- Walnut Branch
- Catharpin Creek.
The weather service canceled a flash flood warning for the City of Manassas, Manassas Park, and Prince William and East Central Fauquier counties in Northern Virginia. Th warning had been in effect until 3:45 a.m.
A flash flood watch for Loudoun also was canceled.
