WASHINGTON – Tuition will go up for students who attend the University of Maryland.
The university system’s Board of Regents approved a 3 percent tuition hike for in-state students.
This is the third year in a row that tuition has gone up.
For students attending the University of Maryland, College Park, tuition and fees will go from $8,655 in 2012 to $8,908 in 2013.
Salisbury University will see a higher increase. In-state tuition there will go up 6 percent for a second straight year
Out-of-state tuition will increase by as much as 5 percent at the College Park and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
Except for a cost-of-living increase of 2 percent, salaries in the university system will be frozen, but there will not be any furloughs.
