2nd Annual Adopt-a-thon

Are you looking for the perfect new member to add to your family?

On Saturday, August 11 join WTOP and The Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL) for their 2nd Annual Adopt-a-thon! from noon until 5 p.m. at the League’s state-of the art facility at 71 Oglethorpe Street in Northwest D.C.

More than 150 rescued dogs, puppies, cats and kittens that need forever homes will be available for adoption and they need your help! We’re offering “name your price” adoption fees to allow everyone an opportunity to adopt a wonderful pet. Come to the event and meet your perfect match!

In addition to the available animals, Our staff veterinarians will answer questions at the “Ask the Vet” table, our certified dog trainers will host demonstrations and vendors from several area pet-friendly organizations will be on hand with goodies for everyone.

Founded in 1914, WARL is Washington, DC’s oldest animal shelter. Today, the mission of The Washington Animal Rescue League is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs and cats.
