Recycle old cell phones, gadgets at Metro Wednesday

WASHINGTON – Old cell phones and electronic gadgets can be recycled at a Metro station Wednesday morning.

Metro is partnering with George Washington University to collect phones, iPods, digital cameras and laptops. The devices will be recycled and the proceeds will go to helping people get medical care in Africa, Asia and D.C.

Metro riders can make the donation between 7 – 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the following stations:

  • Capital South
  • Dupont Circle
  • Farragut North
  • Farragut West
  • Federal Triangle
  • Foggy Bottom
  • Franconia-Springfield
  • Gallery Place-Chinatown
  • L’Enfant Plaza
  • McPherson Square
  • Metro Center
  • New Carrollton
  • Pentagon City
  • Rosslyn
  • Union Station
