WASHINGTON- Peyton Manning’s tour of available teams has come to an end. The star quarterback is heading to the Denver Broncos, according to ESPN.
His agent is reportedly starting negotiations with the team. Manning was most recently courted by the Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers.
Manning’s agent Tom Condon and the team are expected to reach a five-year, $95 million dollar contract, previously discussed during a meeting March 9 in Denver, reports ESPN.
Manning was released from the Indianapolis Colts on March 7 after 14 seasons with the team. Neck surgery kept him from playing during the 201-2011 season. Before that, he had not missed one NFL game. Manning led the Colts to playoffs and two Super Bowls.
Details on Manning’s deal with the Broncos are forthcoming.
