WASHINGTON – Apple is expected to release its next iPad in early March, the Wall Street Journal is reporting.
On its blog, “All Things D,” the Journal reports “Sources say the company has chosen the first week in March to debut the successor to the iPad 2, and will do so at one of its trademark special events.”
The event will be held in San Francisco, where Apple has held previous events.
There is no word on when the iPad3 will be available for retail, but the Journal expects it will be a week or so after the introductory event.
Reports say the new iPad will run with a much faster chip and have an improved graphics processing unit.
