WASHINGTON — The cover of an upcoming “Playboy” magazine featuring a nude Lindsay Lohan has been leaked, despite attempts to closely guard the “Mean Girls” actress’ photoshoot.
A picture of the upcoming January/February 2012 issue is available at TheInsider.com, showing the tabloid regular staddling a red chair in the shape of the iconic magazine’s bunny. Lohan bears peroxide blond hair, bright red lipstick and is only wearing black high heels.
Lohan had originally planned to release the magazine during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” reports the New York Post. It will be her first television interview since her recent legal troubles following her violating her probation terms.
She reportedly posed for the magazine before a five-hour jail stint in early November. It was the actress’ fifth jail sentence since being arrested twice for drunken driving in 2007. The shoot was days after her father’s second arrest domestic violence-related arrest in Tampa in late October.
“It’s a classic tribute, inspired by the original Tom Kelley nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe. (It’s) classy, very classy,” says Playboy CEO and founder Hugh Hefner, according to the Post. “It turned out very well. I would say that I had some reservations early on, but after a couple of false steps, everybody came on board and it’s going to be very exciting.”
Lohan reportedly returned to Playboy for a reshoot with a “new theme,” the Post reports, after Hefnex expressed dissatisfaction with the initial product.
Hefner says he hopes the spread will have the same effect on Lohan as Drew Barrymore and Shannen Doherty, both former child actors who faced legal troubles and eventually rebuilt their careers after posing in the magazine.
Lohan was paid $1 million for the shoot, according to the Post.
The magazine will go on sale in late December.
