WASHINGTON — If you were up late last night ringing in the New Year, you might want to catch up on your sleep tonight. Evidence suggests loss of sleep can affect your sex life.
A growing body of evidence suggests that lack of sleep can lower men’s testosterone levels and links sleep loss with medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity.
Sleep deprivation also can make you less productive at work and more prone to an accident while driving.
In women, sleep deprivation can make them more susceptible to pain and the muscle ailment fibromyalgia.
