ARLINGTON, Va. – When you think of public restrooms, you probably don’t think good thoughts — unless you’re using a restroom that just won an award as the second best restroom in America.
That distinction just went to the restroom at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel.
The bathroom at the hotel in Crystal City features lighting in warm tones of orange and yellow, along with projections of birds and leaves on the walls.
The sinks are particularly impressive. When you turn on a faucet, the water is illuminated to reflect its temperature. Blue for cold, red for hot.
Cintas, a company that provides restroom products and services, named the bathroom at the Field Museum in Chicago as the best bathroom in America for this year.
