Johnson scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter and Jack Layne threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Hayden Hatten in the fourth to cap the scoring for the Vandals. Anthony Woods carried 16 times for 122 yards.

Tyler Vander Waal’s 49-yard scoring strike to Benjamin Omayebu in the first quarter was the lone score for Idaho State (1-10, 1-7), which has lost four straight.
