Maryland and Howard women’s basketball are headed to the NCAA Tournament

Maryland women’s basketball is back in a familiar spot. For the 16th straight season, the Terps are headed to the NCAA Tournament.

Maryland gets a 5 seed and will play 12th seed Murray State Friday in the first round at Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

This is the Terrapins’ 22nd NCAA Tournament bid under head coach Brenda Frese in her 24 seasons in College Park.

Howard is back in the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2022. The MEAC champions earned a 14 seed and will face 3 seed Ohio State in Columbus on March 21.

The Final Four is April 3-5 in Phoenix, Ariz.
