Miami hosts Providence following Omier’s 21-point game

BOTTOM LINE: Miami faces the Providence Friars after Norchad Omier scored 21 points in Miami’s 87-61 victory against the Florida A&M Rattlers.

Miami finished 26-11 overall with a 10-5 record at home during the 2021-22 season. The Hurricanes averaged 73.9 points per game last season, 33.7 in the paint, 16.6 off of turnovers and 12.3 on fast breaks.

Providence finished 14-3 in Big East action and 7-2 on the road a season ago. The Friars averaged 71.5 points per game last season, 15.2 from the free throw line and 22.2 from beyond the arc.
