Alternative places to see cherry blossoms in DC region

WASHINGTON — Are you ready for cherry blossoms, D.C.?

The region’s biggest tourist attraction is set to see some pretty blooms at their peak April 1, meaning the already-crowded Tidal Basin is about to become a D.C. resident’s worst nightmare. But that doesn’t mean you have to miss out or succumb to sub-par pics.

Here are alternative places to see the cherry blossoms around the D.C. region.
