The driver of the vehicle that was struck died, the police say; the other driver, who was driving a Honda Civic, is in the hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Traffic was diverted onto Md. 121 at Exit 18. I-270 reopened at about 6:10 a.m.
The police haven’t released the name of either driver yet. They’re still investigating, and say that they don’t think alcohol was a factor.
