ROCKVILLE, Md. — The big snowstorm is behind us, but winter is still here, and drivers were reminded of that Tuesday as spin-outs were reported across Montgomery County on icy roads.
“It has been busy,” said Pete Piringer, a spokesman with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
There were dozens of accidents throughout the morning rush.
“Most of the collisions have been minor or have involved single vehicles,” Piringer said.
One of the crashes involved a Montgomery County school bus that hit an icy patch and slid off Avery Road in Rockville.
“They landed in a snow bank,” Piringer explained. “There were several students on the bus but there were no injuries.”
