WASHINGTON — An Ashburn, Virginia, man who was hired by a local family to baby-sit their daughter has been arrested and charged after having inappropriate contact with her.

Salomon Sanchez-Bernuy, 66, was charged with kissing a child under the age of 13 with lascivious intent and simple assault.

The family, also from Ashburn, reported the incident on Feb. 22 after they learned of at least two encounters Sanchez-Bernuy had with their daughter.

Police are working to determine if there are any additional victims and are asking any residents who hired Sanchez-Bernuy as a baby sitter or tutor to contact Detective J. Suess of the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office at 703-777-0475.
