WASHINGTON — The stretch of Loudoun County Parkway from Evergreen Ridge Drive to Creighton Road opened to traffic on Tuesday, 15 months ahead of schedule.
The road runs near Stone Hill Middle School around Brambleton and the Loudoun Valley Estates in Ashburn.
The road, constructed by Virginia-based builders the Toll Brothers, was not required to be open until November 2017.
Supervisor Tony Buffington says that the new section of road, intended to connect to Route 606, is scheduled to open next fall.
Many roads in Loudoun County are built in segments, with the rest left planned for completion as part of new developments.
