Clouds return ahead of a weather maker that will bring areas of rain during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will remain well above average with highs in the 50s. Showers are expected in the evening.

Showers early, cold and windy
Lows: 27-31
Winds: Light
Light rain is expected before midnight as the cold front moves through the area. A few snowflakes may mix in behind the front, but accumulating snow is not expected. Wet roads may freeze quickly with falling temperatures which will lead to slick spots for the Thursday morning commute.

Winds: Northwest 15-25 mph
Gusts: 30-35 mph
Watch out for slick spots during the morning drive. Blustery northwest winds will keep wind chills in the teens and 20s throughout the day.

Winds: South 10-15 mph
Morning wind chills will range from zero to ten degrees, and afternoon wind chills will stay in the 20s.
THIS WEEKEND:
Saturday will be the warm day of the weekend with highs in the middle to upper 40s. Sunday brings another blast of cold air with falling temperatures in the 30s and chances for light snow.
