It will be a warm and humid night with temperatures not falling below 80 degrees in the city. Heat index values will stay in the 80s.

TUESDAY:
Very Hot, Isolated Storms
Highs: 97-102
Heat Index: 105-110+
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
Dangerous heat continues with forecast high temperatures in the low 100s. An excessive heat warning has been posted. by the National Weather Service. The heat index will run from 105 to 110 degrees during the afternoon, which is why excessive heat watches have been issued. A pop-up shower or thunderstorm is possible during the afternoon, but rain chances only sit around 20%.

WEDNESDAY:
Partly Sunny
Highs: 93-98
Heat Index: 105-110
Winds: Southwest 5-10 mph
This will be the last really hot and humid day of the week before a welcome drop in temperatures and humidity. High temperatures will likely top out below 100 degrees, but heat index values will peak around 105 degrees. Scattered showers and storms are likely during the afternoon and evening, as a cold front approaches the area.

Winds: North 10-15 mph
It will be noticeably cooler with highs in the mid 80s. Humidity levels will be slowly falling, as well. Lingering showers are possible with the passage of the cold front.
