WASHINGTON — Friday’s high of 80 degrees in the D.C. area broke a 12-year record for temperature this time of year.
The last time the area hit 80 degrees in November was in 2003. The previous highs for Nov. 6 temperature were: 78 degrees in D.C. in 1948; 77 degrees at BWI in 2005; and 78 degrees at Dulles in 1994.
On Friday, all three main airports saw 80 degrees.
Enjoy this while you can, though. Saturday’s high will be 63 degrees with occasional rain, and Sunday’s will be 59 with sunshine.
Next week’s temperatures will hover in the 60s.
