WASHINGTON — A man in possession of multiple fake IDs has been arrested after a stabbing at the Dunn Loring Metro Station on Monday morning, Metro Transit police said.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening, Fairfax County police said.

Metro Transit police said video footage from Metro’s Security Operations Control Center helped identify the suspect.

According to a news release, police determined the man “boarded a specific car of an Orange Line train headed in the direction of New Carrollton.”

Transit police at Rosslyn intercepted the train and took the man into custody without incident.

Police say the suspect, who is believed to be in his 40s, had a knife on him.

They are working to verify his true identity.
